TOUCHSTONES ONLY ACCEPTS SUBMISSIONS FROM UTAH VALLEY UNIVERSITY STUDENTS. IN ORDER FOR SUBMISSIONS TO BE ACCEPTED BY TOUCHSTONES, STUDENTS MUST UPLOAD THEIR WORK THROUGH THE ONLINE SUBMISSION LINK(S) BELOW.

Students may submit poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, drama, illustrated narratives, and/or art (photography, paintings, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, etc.) and may submit up to six pieces (can be six in either written or artwork). Complete a submission form for each individual piece following the guidelines below.

WRITTEN WORK GUIDELINES:

We only accept digital submissions and they must be in Word format (docx).  Please submit EACH piece using the following nomenclature:

FirstnameLastname_title_genre.docx

For example, if your name were Joe Smart and you were submitting a piece of poetry entitled "Falling Leaves," the file you send should be named:

joesmart_fallingleaves_poetry.docx

Please do not put your name on the document itself. Only put your name on the document title as shown above.

ARTWORK GUIDELINES:

We only accept digital submissions and they must follow the guidelines indicated. Please submit EACH piece using the following nomenclature:

FirstnameLastname_title_medium.jpg . 

If you were submitting a scan or photo of an acrylic on canvas of the same title, then:

joesmart_fallingleaves_acryliconcanvas.jpg

In order to have the highest quality images in the printed journal, please send images that have at least 300 DPI. This will ensure that images are not pixelated or blurry when printed.

PLEASE DO NOT OVERLOOK THIS. This greatly assists us in publishing and archiving your work.  Failure to follow these guidelines will result in a rejection of the submission.
